MAHINDRA LOGAN CAR
FAULT IN ALTENATOR

Dear Sir,

I own a Mahindra LOgan 1.4 petrol model (Car No-GJ-05-CJ-243). Soon after buying the car within 12 months time there was a defect in Altenator and i was left stranded on a highway. I took the car to my dealer workshop (President Motors Surat) and they replaced the altenator under warranty. Now again just 10-12 months have passed while returning from Mumbai same problem occured. I have to again toe down the car to the nearest workshop of Logan (Global Gallery Thane) and this time they again say that again altenator is damaged which has to be replaced and now my cars warranty is expired. I bought my car in 2007 august and till now it ran only 19000kms and it is very well maintained, exactly after every 6months i give it for servicing and oil change. Now the Thane dealer where it has been given for repairs says it will cost me 19000Rs to again change the altenator. I agreed to pay the cost, but they still are not able to find out the root cause why this happens every now and then and in future too there is no guarantee that after 6months if this problem occurs again. I feel really cheated that from my side i maintained car so well which can be checked by the service records with President motors workshop Surat and still i have to pay heavy charges to keep my car on road. Hope you will be able to help me.
