I purchased a Scorpio VLX form Mahindra & Mahindra, Dealer TVS Alappuzha. Before I purchase this, made all enquiries on site and with their dealer. Everywhere it was told the vehicle come with Alloy Wheels. A couple month back only I came to know that the stepny wheel is not an alloy wheel from other owner of Scorpio. I was shocked to know this. I talked to the dealer in Alappuzha, he said company deliver the vehicle like that, we cannot do anything at all. Then I visited their website again, send the concern to manufactures. First few days there was no reply, then I called the customer care centre. One of the staff said a cc manger will call you with 48 hours. Nothing happened. Again I called, send e-mail many times. At last I got an email from one Mr. Saji Varghese, Ernakulam says it is like that only sent by manufacturer. I demanded for an alloy wheel, by pay the difference. But now I got info that I have to buy a new alloy wheel by paying 8, 200 Rs. And they will pack and give back the standard wheel to me. Strange!!! What I have to do with the wheel? This is ridiculous. The manufacture can use the wheel for their new production, right? But what I have to do? Anyway I am planning to buy that by paying 8, 200 Rs again. But the manufacturer is cheating the customers by keeping stepney inside the vehicle without noticing the buyer. Should I travel with a different wheel if something happen on the road? Public will laugh at me. A company like Mahindra should not do such a business. Why can’t they keep the same alloy wheel as stepny also? They can add the price in quote. Otherwise the dealer have to inform the customer about the difference.
This should not be repeated. Customer believe the manufacturer and the dealer. That is why we are not checking it when we buy it. In this case I would like to make it a valid petition before the Consumer Court. They should replace the stepny wheel with an alloy one. Please accept this as a public petition. Many of the customers are not aware the Mahindra is cheating them. And the same time I surprise that why other customers are not concern about this. I ALREADY PAID FOR A NEW ALLOY WHEEL AND REPLACED. I WANT TO GET BACK THE FULL AMOUNT BY MAHINDRA.
