Non Delivery of vehicle

Hi,

I had made a booking for a Brand new Swift VDI Diesel in white color, on the 11th of February. I was promised by the representative of the dealer that I would get the vehicle delivered within a month. that did not happen.

I then called him, and he did not answer my call. I repeatedly called him, but to my surprise he did not answer my calls. I had no choice but to go and visit the dealership personally, which is like 15 kms from my house. I went there, and after waiting for an hour the representative who had come to my house to collect the cheque comes and promised me that he will call me back in an hour or maximum by next afternoon.

And as I had thought he did not call me. I had no choice but to call him back and ask him what is the status of my car. he did not answer my calls. I was then busy with my work so didn't bother calling him back.

It was mid of April, I mean more than two months now that I had booked my car, that I started calling him again, for which he told me if I change my option from a Swift VDI to a Swift Dzire LDI, he would give me the vehicle in a weeks time, this was on the 14th of April, and I agreed to it.

I then waited for a week, tried calling him again, but he again didn't answer my calls. I had no option left but to write a letter to the Manager of the dealership, asking him for an explanation. I then went all the way to the dealer again, to give him the letter, and I was shocked to know that it will take another 20 days for the delivery of my vehicle. I asked the representative what did he mean by saying so, and he said I cannot do anything about it. I then took it in writing from the Manager saying that it will take 3 months for them to deliver my vehicle.

So as per my booking date of 11th of Feb I should get my vehicle by 10th of May. The representative said yes, and also that he would call me and let me know if he is giving me a Swift VDI or a Swift Dzire LDI.

But like his earlier false promises he did not call me back.

I'm just confused now, as in what should I do. Should I cancel the booking or wait till the 11th of May and see what happens. please guide me.
