Damaged Goods & No response

Dear Consumer Forum,

Agarwal Express (Ms. Saloni/Ms. Veena) agreed to shift my household goods from Banagalore to Kochi by a dedicated covered truck hence it cost R.24, 441 for 39 small pieces of goods! The payment was fully paid to Agarwal express in advance>

I received the goods in a open truck covered with tarpaline along with some other goods transported to other destination! Due to the careless handling and since it was tied with ropes, one of my carved wooden chair was broken totally! The cost of this chair itself is Rs.20, 000.

I have sent several reminders about the above incident and noe from Agarwal express responded. Request your help to sort this out

I have already sent 3 reminders regarding the loss/damage caused during the transportation of my furnitures and so far I have not received any reply!

This morning at 1.30 AM I received the cargo

1) The cargo was transported in a open truck along with another cargo to kottayam and was covered with tarpoline, tied with ropes

2) Furnitures were tied with rope and as a result on of the carved chair is totally broken. Driver has confirmed the same and signed it

3) You have promised to dispatch by covered container but you used an open truck. This has caused the damage

Please let me know how will you compensate for the loss of this chair?
