I and my friend took an Orix Delhi Cab today, 7th Oct (DL 1RX- 8403) to go from Gurgaon to Rajendra Prasad Road (near CP). I checked and the driver confirmed that he knows the destination (I had given the destination earlier at the time of booking the cab). to our surprise, we landed at Rajendra Nagar 45 min. later. I took the correct directions from a friend and arrived at the correct address 20 min. later. When I asked the driver he said that yes he made a mistake but we have only travelled 0.5 km extra. I chceked with a relative and he confirmed that we have travelled a good 15-17 km extra because of his mistake. Forget about apologizing, the driver started arguing.
I then had to goto Bahadur shah Zafar Marg, Manak Bhawan, opposite Times of India office. I asked and later re-confirmed that he knows the way. He assured me that he does. He didnt, and took us to Rajghat instead. I had to call up the office where I was going thrice before I could reach there. HE DID NOT KNOW THE WAY AT ALL.
by that time I was absolutely disgusted with Orix and their service. The driver was taking personal calls and chatting on phone while driving us. The cab was filthy and so was he. I called up the Orix Head and was later assured by a Team Leader that I will get another cab to drop me back to Gurgaon. I told him I dont want to deal with the driver, KP, again and I will only pay what is actually due and not for the extra 20 km he has driven because he did not know the way. I was assured of the same.
I few min. later I got into another Orix, delhi cab. To my HORROR, the 2nd driver stopped the cab next to the first cab, the first cab driver got inTO my cab, came and sat next to me and started asking for money! Never in my life have I been so scared. I got down and ran inside the office. I managed to get another local cab, exited from the back door and managed to reach back.
I reported the entire matter to the Orix head. Never in life will I take an Orix/ Delhi cab again. MERU is any day much better in every way.
