Had booked a cab from Orix from my company (Kimberly Clark Lever), in the name of Mr. Kedar Lele (my boss). The cab had to come to my residence, pick me and my mom up. We had to reach the Pune airport to drop off my mom for an early morning flight (7:00am) and then I had to head for a business meeting in Mumbai with my boss. After having our Admin Team book the cab, they sent me the cab company's customer care landline no.

I called up the customer care no. 3 times last night requesting the contact details of the driver who would pick us up from our Koregaon Park, Pune residence. After the 3rd call, they seemed to have mercy and messaged me the details from an id: 'TA-ORIX' . Every time I called I insisted that they keep in mind the reporting time of 5:30am at my residence (about 4Km from the airport) and do not delay, as I had a flight to catch at 7:00am. They assured me and I hung up.

At 3am following morning (today), i received an sms from the company (from a mobile: 919011028417) giving me another name and contact no. of the driver who was supposed to pick me up. At 5:32am I tried the driver's no. first (no.l sent to me at 3am) and the call did not connect inspite of several trials.

Then, I called up the customer care no. (the mobile no. from where I had got the sms at 3am), as the landline was not accessible. I was assured by the voice on teh other side and call men back. I waited, did not receive a call back and finally at 5:40 I called back on the same no. The voice assured me that the cab would reach within 5 mins.

Frustrated yes, but I tried my luck with the driver's no. I had got as an sms from"TA ORIX' last night, just to check (the customer care voice could not confirm where exactly the cab driver had reached).

He cited some excuse, some vague name and confirmed he will reach in a few minutes. At 6:00am I got paranoid and called up the cab driver. he mentioned having reached my building. I rushed downstairs with my mom and about 4 pieces of luggage. He was nowhere in sight! After a few more calls and adding a few more rupees of my mobile bills, I still could not understand whether he had reached a wrong place or not reached at all. Frustrated I asked the security guard to find an suto rickshaw, which could take us to the airport (In Pune to get a cab/rickshaw in a lane in Koregaon Park at 6 in the morning is a matter of supreme luck). Somehow, he still managed to get a rickshaw and we had tucked in our luggage and were just seating ourselves in the autorickshaw, when the cab driver arrived at 6:09am! That's 39 mins late!!!

That's not all... it's just a beginning to the ride of our life that he gave us... He took us whirlwinding around the city for about 15 mins (being new to Pune, I had not been to the airport earlier) and I realized that my friends had mentioned that the airport is just max. 10mins away from my place... I kept asking him if he knew the place, mentioned that I had to reach in 5 mins or would miss the flight (over the phone when he had not yet reached and also repeated throughout the ride). I also mentioned that it was just about half an hour before the flight was to depart. He went on without qualms. Finally when it was 6:30 am by my watch and I had already made 2calls to the airlines (Spice Jet), I realized that the road signs did not point to the airport at all! I rechecked with him and he said that he was taking me to the Mumbai airport!!! I was left dumfounded... after mentioning that I had to go to the airport and then to Mumbai, after saying that I had to reach in 5 mins somehow... he thought that he had to go to the Mumbai airport!!!

I had lost it by then and asked him to just try and take us to Pune airport... we were at his mercy. At this point he started cutting lanes and driving like a maniac. I asked him to slow down as I had realized that the flight would be gone. He back-answered asking me to complain about him to his company and sneered back!!!

Yes, my mom missed the flight... I pleaded with the airlines and got her a ticket for the next flight at 11:35am by paying Rs. 3500 extra!!! Not only that, our blood pressure had soared up and we could have just lost control... my mom happens to be a high BP patient and was sweating and panting profusely through the trip... and yes, I missed my business appointment in Mumbai...

It was a mortifying ride, my mom fell ill, I paid thousands out of my pocket and missed a company committment... all for a reckless driver of a company equipped with a call centre and fame in Pune (as I hear) and we have a corporate tie-up with this company... Shameful!!!

While I have complained to our company, I wanted to rasie this to your notice as I have lost a lot beyond my offical commitments... and I surely want other users of ORIX to know what they are in for!!! I may not in a senior position in the company/or in teh Admin Team to influence company decision but I had to bring this to your notice an an agrieved consumer! ORIX really gave me the ride of my life!!!

I don't know what to complain аbout: the unresponsiveness of the calls, the delay, the rash driving, the back answereing or heading towards an unintended destination, all of this causing hazard to work and personal health and also monetary loss.

Seeking your help and guidance... I would definely need a reconcilation. And, I hope other fellow users do not get affected...
