I would like raise my complain about the shipment i had given to Pearl cargo for sending house hold stuffs to UK . The shipment was taken from my house on 07th October (Saturday). While taking the shipment i had asked what will be weight and i was told that it will be around 200 KGs. The exact weight will be notified to me on Monday (10th Oct) before shipping the stuffs. I Belived him because he had recently sent another shipment for one of my friend.
There was no information on Monday about what is the weight of the shipment. When i called up on Tuesday, i was told that it will be given to me in few mins and then i get an invoice of 295 KGs (Volumetric) which is too high from what i expected. My budget was to send something around 200 KGs only. Had i been told this before sending the stuffs to customs, i would have taken things out. On top of it, i was asked for the UK address only on tuesday and i can not understand how without the address the custom clearance is done really. When i asked to cancell the shipment i was told that i need to pay 13, 000 since the goods have already gone for custom clearance. There is no receipt like the TC Charges, Custom Paper that was given to me. I checked it internally with my contacts to find out where the packets were and i came to know that it was in Naraina and the actual weight of my goods were 216 KGs. After a heated argument Sanjy told me that he will not return the goods and asked me to do whatever i could do. I told him that i will immediately go to police and come to his office. Then he started to mellow down. This ia a big racket and i sugges always insist on the weight in front of you. I ended up paying this bogus company 13, 000 to get my goods. I sent them thru another agency and to my surprise the weight after including another box came down to 218 KGs and volumetric 236 KGs. So you can understand how much money these gusy make by cheating people. In the entire process i am being cheated. Being a company, how can you send something without really getting it confirmed with the customer and then ask him to pay that when i clearly mentioned that first tell me the weight & amount before making any shipment. When i got the packets back, there were no stickers, no AWB pasted, so the claim that it had gone for custom clerance was totally false.
I have been in contact with Mr Sanjay Puneta (99711465046) from Noida Office. This is not a complaint against Sanjay but more about the process you follow and there should be some transparency in the amount you charge. I still believe that i was charged huge amount for something which is not incurred. I request your fair intervention to the matter and resolve this ASAP. I have asked to cancell the shipment and i will arrange to take the things back.
So watch out before you do any deal with Pearl Cargo.
