I own a Chevrolet Spark from December where I was proud to speak positive on my car till I met with an accident on 12th August midnight. On moderate speed just before the speed breaker on applying slight brakes the card turned 90 degree without any steering control and brakes just didnt work and hit the road divider. As a result the front wheel got separated with drive shaft and A/C compressor and radiator broke. The car was then toed to service center at Vasco (Subrai Motors) next day after completion of police formalities and remained with them for about 3 months with a total repair bill exceeding Rs 1 Lakh whereby I had to pay Rs 42, 000 with rest recovered by Insurance. As I got my car back on road, within a weeks time I had trouble again from power steering belt which became loose thus not able to control steering got it fixed by the local mechanic. Now after a month or so while driving to Belgaum, I noticed a weird sound came from bottom of the driver seat several times on a turn or while crossing a speed breaker but could not be identified by any of the two mechanics on inspection. But while returning back suddenly front left drive shaft came out of the gearbox and car came to a halt. Now with the inspection of service center mechanics it was noticed that the nut was found broken which holds the engine on the right side and also gearbox cover broke open at the nut holding place thus made the whole engine assembly lean on right side which ultimately caused the drive shaft to come out. The car had to be toed back to service center for more than 50 kms and is told that it will take 2 more weeks till the problem is fixed... Now my question is why the nut & gearbox cover broke all of a sudden .. it appears that it was kept loose at the time of accident recovery and also the major question is why the car turned 90 degrees all of a sudden when the tyres were intact and road condition was not slippery and speed was moderate.. I dont know when I will get my car back or will I have the confidence back again to drive with pleasure...
