The biggest pain I went through was the timely delivery of my consignment. They kept me fooling with my consignment status for more than 15 days.
Initially, when I opted for their service, they committed me delivery from Bhubaneswar to Bangalore within 10 days. But it took them more than 20 days to delivered my goods.
20th Feb:
Asked APM to despatch the consignment from Bhubaneswar to Bangalore. They assured me to start the consignment in two days.
23rd Feb:
The representative (A) told that due to my partial consignment, they are looking for another customer but it wont take more than 2 days.
26th Feb:
A new representative (B) came into picture. He told that (A) is on vacation and regarding my consignment, it hasn’t been despatched yet as their truck is not fully loaded. Assured me of delivery by 1st of March.
1st Mar:
Talked to representative (C) and she told that she has recently joined after vacation and has no information regarding that. She asked to call her back by evening. When we called her, she didn’t pick the call.
2nd Mar:
Neither of the 3 representatives attended our regular calls to them.
3rd Mar:
(B) went out of picture and (A) came back to inform that the consignment has started and will reach in 4-5 days.
8th Mar:
Representative informed that the truck has reached Hyderabad and will stay there for a day as the person whose item was to be despatched is not available in the town.
10th Mar:
The consignment was delivered.
But when we enquired the truck driver, he told that they had started just two days back from Bhubaneswar!!!
When I called (A), he said that I should not be bothered of when the consignment started and whether it came via Hyderabad or not. He also told that lying is a part of any business otherwise no one can succeed!!!
Insurance Policy:
At the time of making a deal with them, I asked them to insure my goods against accidental loss, for which I paid Rs. 1000/-. They told that the original copy of insurance will be sent to me after the consignment starts from Bhubaneswar. But even after getting my goods, I didn’t receive the copy in any form. Would there had been some damage to the consignment, I had no evidence to prove my coverage.
I am not sure of the service at other locations, but my experience with Bhubaneswar branch was not good. So guys, think before you take chances with such companies!!!
Ironically, the tagline of the company is "on time everytime"!!!
Having said that, overall, I had mix experience in all departments. I will rate them on various parameters as follows:
Safety of Consignment: 8/10 (Fortunately, I got all my household items in one piece!!!)
Ontime Delivery: 1/10
Commitment: 2/10
Cost: 7/10
Storage Facility: 8/10 (I personally visited their office and the storage facility was more than satisfactory)
