Optical Shoppe, J-19, Sec 18, Noida sold me spectacle lenses (Crizal) and phrame. Upon enquiry they told me that the lenses that I am buying will have a watermark from Crizal and hence the authenticity can be checked and verified. The lenses come with a Crizal card which they conviniently forgot to hand me over at the time of delivery.
When I checked for watermark on the lenses at the trime of delivery it was not there (no proof of Crizal being used against the payment done). The guy said that because of the size of the phrame (which is not at all small) the watermark must have got cropped. This is just plain and simple forgery as the guys can sell fake lenses in the name of Crizal and when someone insists, they can use one of the many Crizal cards to sign and give to the customer, since they do not give out the Crizal cards on each and every purchase, these can be used for pacifying the customers to whom they sell Fake Crizal lenses.
