I bought a Compaq Laptop two years ago and my laptop is under extended warranty. Recently Optical Disk Drive stopped working so I took my laptop to HP's authorized service center. There I have been told that the CT number of Optical Disk Drive does not matches with their record, So it can't be replaced under warranty.
This is my personal laptop and I never given it servicing before. I am sure nobody checks the components Ct number before purchase. If the CT number does not matches with their record, its not my fault.
I am looking to move to Consumer Court for help. So please guide me.
