I purchased Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop the following are its details:

I had gifted this laptop to my brother who currently has its ownership (inovoice/recipt) few days from the date of purchase.
He has faced persistant problems since he started to use it. The following are the problems:
1.The wi-fi card in the laptop was defected from the beginning, which he discovered after 1 month.
2.Persistant heating and crashing problem.
3.Recently after about 2 years he is facing startup problems, and is not able to reboot his system (hard disk failure).
Dell personnels are asking to expand the warrenty period, if I want to repair my system. At this I feel cheated as many of my others friends are facing the same problems regarding the hardware parts of dell.
Most of the dell laptops bought by my friends and had to pay for hardware failure in their system.
Dell is selling laptops at cheaper rates as compared to other laptop firms, but it comes at a cost of hardware failure problem in long run. I had bought hp-pavillion dv6300 which even after 3 years of usage is working perfectly fine without any problem.
If possible please see to my problem and help me find any solutions in this regard.
