Not accepting for replacement

I bought va kingston 8 gb pendrive before 2 months, they actually offer a replacement warranty for a period of 5 yrs..i have contacted them for replacement just 2 months after purchasing, as my pendrive is not recognised by the computer... they simply ignored my claim saying that scratches in the external side... i dont know how to maintain the pendrive as new even after months long warranty period... i dont see a sense in their refusal... do suggest me a solution to get rid of it...
