I purchased my graphics card Nvidia 8600gt 512mb DDR3 XFX from Vedant Computers on 04/09.All was well until on 10/02 i found the fan of my graphics card was not spiining. I immediately opened it as it might have burnt due to over heating. I took my card to Akshay Enterprises at Room no 23, 2nd Floor, 4 B.B.D Bag, kolkata-700001.They said i have my warranty but the fan was not working because it got jammed and i have to pay Rs.400 for the repairs. When i asked them whi i should give any money when my card is under waranty, they said that if any other chips would have gone damaged then i would't have to pay anything. The fan doesnt come with any warranty. Then they handed me a non computerised repairing receipt but nothing is mentioned about whether the card is under warranty or the amount i have to pay. Now what should i do? What they said, is it corect? Or they are tryng to fool me?? Rs400 is quite a nominal value but the question is with ethics. Can i launch a direct complain to xfx or nvidia regarding the quality of servicing these people are providing? Plz help me.
