I am Amol, Finance manager at a MNC based in Gurgaon. I am a regular commuter from Delhi to Gurgaon. My complaint is regarding the mis-management of Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway which is becoming worse day by day after the initial well targeted efforts to move people towards Tag and also marshals ensuring compliance with the lane rules.
1) Inefficient handling of the tag routes is testing the patience of the tag owners like me as non-tagged vehicles frequently gate-crash into the tag lanes causing delays because of the time taken to accept cash. Adding to the misery, the authorities appear willing to the violation that takes place even though it disadvantages those who have opted for tag schemes. There should be some system of punishing or fining such people who enter the tag lane without having tags.
2) Lane mismanagement- This is clearly a problem which is escalating day by day as there is no efficient lane management. The barriers in the lane are not properly configured allowing two vehicles at a time to enter as a result vehicles scramble for space trying to reach the toll point by overtaking other vehicles, at time resorting to dangerous driving (specially the commercial cabs). It has definitely lead to a very unpleasurable and 'full of chaos' waiting time at the toll plaza. Very less seems to be done by the officials/mash alls, who witness this ordeals of the commuters, everyday.
I have already written to the concerned authorities requesting action on this.
