Nerolac
Bad work and poor customer service

We had selected Nerolac paints to paint our home. It seemed to be a prestigous company which had been around in this industry long enough to do a credible job. We contacted their team and gave them the contract to paint the house. The nightmare began from there. Inspite of giving them vacant rooms to paint, they would not complete the job even after a long week. The labour who came to paint the house would show up around 11, break for lunch before 1, tea before 4 and then while away time until 5:30, after which their duty hours would end they would leave. Every day there would be a new person who would replace one of the earlier labourer. The supervisor didn't know what his left arm was doing. He was completely unware of the timings and the work details. Inspite of giving them the job work we still had to shuffle our work timings, infact our lives, to monitor and guide the workers. What was the point in giving a contract to such an esteemed well reputed company. The paint job is veerrryyy bad. Less than 3 months and the house looks like what it did earlier. I guess a road side contractor would do a better job and also turn up when asked to repair any bad patch. I can't explain how bad the experience has been. To watch the bad paint work after having paid a huge amount is sheer torture. No amount of phone calls, complaints... any mode to get them to come and finish a neat job, works at all. Looks like they are only keen on taking up contracts for the money and getting out hastily without bothering what happens to the customers. Its embarrassing to have such companies to deal with. We boast of modern India, but look at the mind set of the people in the country. They barely are interested in giving quality work. Their only interest lies in fleecing people. We are at our wits end and don't know whom to turn to for help. I wonder if there exists an after-sales team at all in Nerolac.

If any one in this forum can give any suggestions on how to deal with these people it will be highly appreciated.

Thanks.
