Whether Jeevansathi does anything beyond sending the profiles, it sure does one thing. Even after the customer decides to request the inflow of SMS day in and out, it has just become impossible and plain irritable. Tried changing my phone number in my account. Contacting the automated centre, you need to be as tricky as them - go for the UPGRADE option, and you will get to talk to a human voice. As per one such, I deleted my profile. But to my dismay, I still keep getting bombarded with messages. Speaking to another executive who argued that there is no such profile, I had to ask then how come I am there in your SMS list at all? For which she muttered something and disconnected my call. There should be a filter or SPAM provision in phones too to stop the unwanted messages.
