I SAMPRADA M P had applied for the correspondence course in the academic year in KARNATAKA STATE OPEN UNIVERSITY (KSOU), MYSORE, through MANGALORE INSTITUTE OF FIRE AND SAFETY ENGINEERING (MIFSE), mysore and Bangalore branches, and had paid the fees in the month of November and december with the following details:
1. Receipt no: 14144, date:13-11-10, MIFSE Bangalore-Rs.5, 000
2. Receipt no: 137, date: 5-12-10, MIFSE Mysore- Rs. 10, 000
ACCORDING TO THE RULE:
- books were supposed to be issued in the month of December
- a gap of 5 to 6 months to be given to study
- exam to be conducted in the month of june to end 1st semester
PROBLEM FACED: (negligence by the KSOU and MIFSE)
- PHYSICAL AND MENTAL strain for 7 months due to delay
- issue of books for the first semester itself got delayed and we got books by the end of july (by this time 1st sem exams should have been over)
• We asked for refund of the fees to MANGALORE INSTITUTE OF FIRE AND SAFETY ENGINEERING, Bangalore and mysore branches, which was neglected
- A gap of just 2 months given (not sufficient to prepare for exams, and which is against the education principles)
- exams of first semester are announced to be in October
REASON GIVEN BY HE INSTITUTE- syllabus was not decided, and books were not printed,
then why did the give the publicity to start the course when the syllabus is not ready?
RELIEF:
As there is a great delay in starting the course, i am totally fed up now i have decided to withdraw it, and i want the money back, as there would be a great delay to complete all the semesters.
