I am a student of postgraduation in IIT bombay this year and got admission about 9 months before and i want from you to take strict action against the following departments in IIT Bombay which is so called very famous institute and from inside it is even worse than a local university.
1. prof: mostly they don;t know how to teach and at every moment they are ready to rebuke or lampoon to the students and hence fill he frustration in their mind thereby creating mentally presure. They don;t shoe an interest towards teaching and expect buttering from their students.
2. Bus service for which we are forced to pay 1000/- every year at the cost that we are not allowed to use our convince as it is allowed in other IIT'S, is in very much bad condition. In IIT there is lack of staff for driving bus and moreover we have to wait for bus for a very long time at the stoppage and this is even worse that on saturday or Sunday service becomes much poorer and sometimes bus driver refuse to start the bus showing that he is ill humoured and even we have complained against them in security office but of no avail.
3. The big issues comes in library sector where we never found any book at its place even in this stream there is provision to reserve the books for SC/ST candidates which are already lesser in quantity. We want it to be open for 24 hours which is not available so if i compare the PANJAB UNIVERSITY, library which has well planning to arrange the books and is available 24 hours, and in IIT noone among book staff takes care of the complaintsor demands made by students.
4. If you visit the hostels no.1 to 11 these are in worst conditions, room size is very small and even in such rooms sharing basis accommodation is there with no provision of cleanliness and its full of insects especially mosquitoes responsible for the high rates of dengue patient, even dogs, cows, bulls are normally found to be moving in hostels with humans.
I ask you if this is the situation in IITB then why we are considered hatred when we plan to go abroad for higher studies if our country does not provide well established institutes then her is career of INDIAN students is safe. I openly appeal that nobody shold choose IITB for higher studies it is fit for only B.Techs. Kindly focus on my complaints and open this issues before public. These issues are not concealed anyhow. Kindly take some steps in this regard.
