Non receipt of passport after police verification

I noor jahan have submitted application for passport on 17-11-09. The police verification has been done on 23-12-09. But till now i have not received the passport despite daily asking the post master concerned. i am not able to confirm what is the reason of delay in sending me the passport by kolkata passport office. i along with my husband have applied for the passport but only my husband has received the passport. we both have been alloted with numbers 3766 and 3765.
