Brand new handset not working properly

I bought Motorola handset L6i on 06-May. In less than a month's time I have started facing problems with this handset. The key pad suddenly stops functioning - I can see the calls coming but pressing keys (either Answer/Ignore) does not work. Not able to make any calls.

After several attempts to take the battery and SIM card out and again putting them back, it works some time while at other times it does not work.

I am really shocked and amazed at such poor quality of Motorola products. The last phone I used was a Nokia one and I never had any issues for 5 years!!!
