I purchased an Emergency Light from Asha Electricals in Oct worth Rs 1000/- with one year warranty of the product. Despite my request, I was not given any invoice or bill. Instead the shopkeeper gave me a business card and assured me that he will replace/repair the product. I had to accept it as he was adament not to give any bill. Three months later (Jan), the product had gone faulty. When I approached the shopkeeper, he took the faulty product and told me to come after 2-3 weeks and assured me that it will be replaced/repaired. When I went to collect the product, he refused to replace it. I requested him to get it repaired at least since it is in one yr warranty. He refused that also and started arguing me. Till now he has niether replaced nor repaired the product. In fact he has not even returned the faulty product as it is. This is simple cheating. His shop should be de-registered and declared unauthorised for 2 reasons. One, he did not give me a bill on the purchase of product. Two, he refused to replace or repair the product within the warranty period. Strict action should be taken against him and appropriate penalty should be imposed on him.
