Blackberry/ Redington India
Damaged a under-warranty handset

I bought a BLACKBERRY 9100 PEARL SMARTPHONE from your showroom on 16/08 for Rs. 19, 790/-, as per the attached invoice. The phone had malfunctioning keypad right out of the box. Whenever I would press certain (random) keys, the data would get input more than once. As per the instructions provided to me, I took the phone to REDINGTON INDIA for service. They kept my phone for around 15 days, and then returned it to me saying it was fixed. The phone worked ok for a few days, and then the same problem reoccurred. I faced lot of inconvenience the first time my phone away for a long period of 15 days, due to the nature of heavy call volumes that I have. I didn’t want to face the same inconvenience again, atleast until sometime in future when I could do away without the phone for that long period. I kept using the phone with the malfunctioning keypad. After getting really tired of the malfunctioning keypad, I decided to take it to REDINGTON once again on the 9th September’ which was well within the warranty period of 18 months, as offered by the manufacturer. They again kept my phone for a long period, and sent it back unrepaired, stating it was Un-repairable and it had LIQUID DAMAGE IN THE DISPLAY AREA, and the cost to Repair it would be Rs. 14, 789/-. I had complained about the KEYPAD MALFUNCTIONING, ALONG WITH DUST PARTICLES ENTERING MY DISPLAY AREA, and they made an excuse of WATER DAMAGE IN THE LCD, and then they give me a ridiculous price of Rs. 14/789/- for the repairs for the phone which costs around the same price as of today. The phone was returned to me on the 21st September’ 2011 in the worst condition than it was taken in for repairs. Even my speaker, which was working fine at the time I sent it in, was no longer working. My LCD Screen was pulled out, and it was hanging (not correctly fitted in). Even the top of my phone was broken when it was returned to me. I am attaching the pictures that I received from REDINGTON stating the Un-Repairable condition of the phone. Blackberry is such a big name in international market. I am not sure whether it is the Company, Croma to Redington that is to be blamed. I have submitted the phone to REDINGTON once again, and wish to receive a favorable response this time. PLEASE HELP.
