I had purchased 3 Units of 2 Ton Durakool, from Techno City, 15 B Sarat Bose Road, Kolkata on 4th April vide their invoice number MCM 183 dated 04/041, for a value of over Rs 1 lac, which was delivered on 10th of April after repeated persuasion. The Installation was done by Mr Raju who prompted us that these AC units being heavier has to be installed on Terrace only and cannot bemounted/ installed on outside walls and charged us Rs 8050 /-instead of Rs.4500/- initially informed by Techno City at the point of Sale. Needless to mention we had to chase Raju Sarkar for three days to complete installationonce he started.

As Raju had told us that during the daytime we can contact your carrier representative and in acse his additional charges are not justified we can get the money back. When we contacted the installer sent by carrier we were informed that there is no issue in getting the machines mounted on exterior walls and confirmed that above Raju Sarkar had charged us extra and will come back and return the money.

They sent another person who mounted the Air conditioners on the exterior Walls of the flat with angles on 21st April after payment of 750 as charges for angles but in the meantime Mr Raju Sarkar never returned to pay us our money.

But to our surprise one AC with Unit Serial no.500171209101001883 was not functional and as informed by the person installing the AC second time, the gas had leaked. We informed this to Carrier and Technocity Point of Sales) immediately

We kept following with them and then one technician turned up on 26th April and informed thathe valve is defective. They then intended to replace the valve and rectify the defect. We insisted that the unit be replaced as there cannot be a defect in a machine abintio prior to being put into use.

They assured us that this is not a perennial defect they will rectify the defect and in case the same defect takes place again they will replace the unit. This was confirmed by their representative named Subhashish.

In the month of August we requested for servicing of the Air conditioners and after repeated requested when their representative came to service the Air conditioning and found that the same AC unit is not working reason being same. This unit is located in an area where we don’t need to use AC rarely and hence we could not realize this fact earlier.

We notified to carrier on phone on 30th August and thyey did not take this complaint as we wanted replacement of unit. On 3rd finally we filed the complaint under complaint number KOL 170 but thety insisted again on repairing and hence the need for this complaint

To add, The email ids provided in website and letter are incorrect.

a) SALE OF SUB STANDARD DEFECTIVE PRODUCT

b) POOR SUPPORT SERVICES

c) CHEATING BY REPRESENTATIVE INSTALLING THE MACHINE

d) MENTAL & FINANCIAL HARRASSMENT
