I had purchased a mobile (Model-XCD 28) Invoice No.- BMC/6983 dated 21-12 from B.M. Computers, Sanjay Place, Agra.
Within some time from purchase, I started experiencing problems with its touch screen. Also it used to get switched off while talking on the phone. I made an oral complaint many times to B.M. Computers, Sanjay Place, Agra. They informed that the set has a resistive touch and is pretty sensitive and told me to use it for some time and I would get habitual to it.
(Before this, I was already using a Samsung Touch Screen Mobile from the past two years but I purchased XCD 28 after seeing its attractive advertising and additional features.)
But after a few months, I realised that the set itself has a lot of problems. I lodged a complaint through e-mail ([email protected]) on 28-09 and on 12-10.
I submitted my Dell XCD 28 mobile alongwith a complaint letter to B.M. Computers, Sanjay Place, Agra, on 31-10 to send my set to the Service Centre to resolve our problem.
Even after 15 days of submitting the set, no clear answer was received regarding what is the problem with my set and when will it be solved. And since I was facing problem without the mobile set, I had to purchase a new mobile set by spending Rs.4000/- on it.
I received a call from the Company’s Bangalore Office (Phone No.-08039974800) on 18-11 that my set is defective and it will be replaced with a new one and will be sent to me very soon.
After waiting for another 15 days, I complaint by e-mail on 30-11 regarding the delay, after which I received a call from the Bangalore Office on 2-12 that there is some problem with the manufacturing unit and the time of delivery of set is not sure.
After that I lodged request/complaint by e-mail on 5-12 to send my set immediately and if the set is unavailable then to kindly return my money thereby releasing my mental stress.
I am extremely disappointed with Dell India Ltd. The warranty period for Dell XCD 28 mobile will expire on 20-12 and after this your company will say that the warranty period has expired and nobody will thereafter entertain my problem.
Kindly solve the problem and reply soon.
