I am having nightmares ever since I bought KENT Grand Mineral RO Water Purifier. There is NO easy way out as I already spent RS 15, 000 for it.

Installation (May): Dealer told me that someone will come for installation within couple of days. One one turned in for couple of weeks. I kept calling dealer, he kept saying he has already informed it & someone should have already come. Finally I kept calling Kent directly & someone came to install it after 3 weeks. The installation guy (Pramod Tiwari) was suppose to be trained one. But he drilled holes above sticker instead of marking on the sticker. He did NOT want to put any effort to screw on wall so he cut dranage pipe & used that as dowel instead using dowel which comes with installation kit. He started filter & went away.

As water tank got filled, the whole unit tilted because it was not fitted properly. We were scared that whole unit will fall down & crash into pieces as it becomes very heavy with full tank of water.

Immidiately I called Kent service & kept calling to get someone to do proper installation again. This was not easy task also. Kent Service has IN-BUILT PARADOX. After first installation, subsequent calls are SERVICE calls and service people DO NOT do or FIX installation. So if your first installation is not done correctly then you are in soup & no wonder you will have nightmares. After lot of calls & explainations finally someone came & did proper installation again.

Multiple breakdowns during Warranty period: UV lamp burned in Jan & I registered the complaint. I had to make again several calls. After 3-4 days they told me there is no complaint on your name. So I had to make complaint again. Still one one visited soon so called Delhi office, talked to Manager & finally someone came after 1 week. The worst part is they will say technician will visit today, but they won't give contact details of technician. This today never comes. I had to take leave to make myself available & no one showed up.

On 16th March again purifier alarm started & stopped working. On 17th morning called service center. Complaint # is 500162773. Priyanka was customer service agant & she said techinician will come today. Till Satureday afternoon, no one called so talked to her manager, Mayuresh. He said he will TRY. Satureday no one came. Monday also no one came. So called again on Monday late afternoon. Customer service agent said please give him 10 mins & he will call back as he can't reach technician. Call back never came & when I called again, office was already CLOSED. Again I called on Tuesday (Mar 20th) & asked for Mayuresh but I was told that he is not available (Or may be he is hiding). Talked to Dipali & Ritesh, everyone is saying same thing, someone will visit today.

Free services Warranty period: Kent has 3 Free services during warranty period but you have to call them which anyway won't happen. I have A/C, refrigerator from other companies and they call me to schedule servicing appointment.

Do it yourself changing filters: Changing filters in Kent purifier or for that matter in any purifier is not rocket science. Any Tom/Dick/Harry can do it. But then how can they earn money. So Kent won't sell any of these in market and you have no choice but to live with these hopeless people, hopeless Service & hopeless products.

Conclusion: Stay away from Kent, The House of Hopeless People, Hopeless Service & Hopeless product

PS: Earlier I was using Eureka Forbes & they already had same day service whenever I called them. Why the hell I switched?
