I have lot of L&T medical equipements for last 10-14 years at Saharanpur, purchased from Dehradun. They used to provide service for the same. But this time when I had problem in my Electrocautry unit, they visited my place and on examining my machine demanded Rs - as visiting fee without any prior information for the service personnel (it had never been done earlier so I didnot expect it that he would demand such hefty amount). If I had known about the visiting charges I would have planned accordingly. As absolutly no work was performed by the service personnel on my machine (I solved the problem myself) so I asked him to charge a reasonable amount to which he came down to Rs1500/-. This means there was no fixed charges. I asked if you were charging so much it would have been cheaper to send the to your office. To which he said he would not service my equipment. I offered him Rs1000/- but he refused. Later it was known that the service personnel was the dealer's nephew and in this way they can exploit the customers. This never happened when there was no link among the dealer and the service personnel.
I would suggest you to open your office in Saharanpur itself as there are so many hospitals and they all use L&T machines only.
