To the top management of LG:
I bought an LG LCD TV from a reputed Electronics store in Bangalore on Oct 19th. Paid Rs. 39, 000 for a 32" Panel TV. Today 23 months later the TV does not work anymore. The problem as identified by the company trained service person is that my TV has power supply problem.
I was told that the product is out of Warranty (thought website says 32LH70YR is covered for 24 months) the company claims that all LCD TVs are covered only for 12 months. After 1 week of talking to absolutely careless service technicians I had to finally agreed to pay the labor cost part cost. The quote to repair the TV was Rs. 3, 000.00.
Finally the technician comes home replaces the Power supply board and says, sorry the problem is not with the power supply it is with the main board. The initial quote to repair the same is Rs. 5, 000.00 (However, the same will be confirmed after checking out the parts cost list).
The solution to frequent failure of the TV is very simple! Buy an annual maintenance contract from LG paying Rs. 2, 200.00 per annum.
QUIET DISGUSTING... I AM DONE WITH LG PRODUCTS FOR LIFE...
