Unable to receive instant messages

To whomsoever it may concern,

I have Nokia C3 qwerty model and im unable to receive instant messages from my contacts..I'm using the pre installed yahoo messenger on my mobile..I contacted the yahoo people for the same and they informed me if its pre installed then the problem is from your end... i receive the messages if im using ebuddy..

Kindly oblige and do the needful..
