Nokia, India
NOT GIVING FREE SERVICE INSTEAD OF WARRANTY PERIOD

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am Mr. Anirban Das, facing a serious problem because Nokia Care is not giving me free service instead of my

extended warranty certificate. I purchased "Nokia 5130" XpressMusic on 10.03.2010. Due to fault of this handset Nokia

Care (Berhampore, Murshidabad, W.B) replaced this handset and given me the new one, on 17.11.2010. Then at the same day

(17.11.2010) I have extended warranty of my "Nokia 5130" XpressMusic donating 565 Rs. But they have not given me any

"SWAP NOTE". So, now when I am again going to another (near of my recent residence) Nokia care for the problem of display

they are asking my "SWAP NOTE". That's why I have called Nokia Care help line (080-30303838) on 19.11.2011 & they have asked

me to send SCAN copy of my purchase invoice, extended Warranty certificate to UPDATE my warranty status.

I sent these document via email. But now they are also asking for the same Swap note.

But, the Nokia Care (Berhampore, Murshidabad, W.B) from where I have extended warranty of my mobile, are telling that they

have lost 1 year old document (SWAP NOTE). They will not give me any duplicate of it also. So, I must repair this with

normal service charge. But, at that time of Warranty extension they told me, I will get free service till extended period;

for this only warranty extension certificate needed & no Swap note is required. Also then they started not to receive my phone call,

because of my repeated request.

I am giving the following details of my mobile:

Details:

(a) IMEI No of my 1st Nokia 5130XM: 359355030750231 (Purchased date:10.03.2010)

(b) IMEI No of the Replaced Nokia 5130XM: 353421049374797 (on 17-11)

(c) Registration Pin: 30255001704682 (Extended Warranty)

(d) Registration Date:17-11 (Extended Warranty)

(e) So, according to this it’s warranty is up to 10.03.2012

So, in this situation I have repaired my handset by Rs. 1200 (Price of display Service Charge).

So, I am claiming this Amount of money and the money I invested for warranty extension; total (1200 565=1765) Rs. from Nokia.

I have great faith on Consumer forum, so please do the necessary as soon as possible.

Yours faithfully:

ANIRBAN DAS
