My wife had a display problem with her Nokia N72 mobile and we went to the nearest Nokia Care centre in Oct at Tippasandra, Bangalore. We were informed that one chip had to be replaced and the estimated cost was Rs 1600. After we gave a go ahead for the repair to be done, it took 3 weeks and there was no response from the service centres. They initially said the chip was not available and that they had to get it from Delhi. After repeated calls, they asked us to come and collect the phone after 5 weeks. The display was a bit different from what it was originally when the phone was bought a year back.
Now after almost 9 months we got a problem which looked like a software issue. As we had shifted our residence we went to another Nokia care centre in Marathahalli. After the initial diagnosys we were surprised to learn from the technical support folks that the problem was because of the display and they said that the display replaced was a duplicate one and not an original Nokia spare part.
If there is anyone responsible at Nokia who looks into Nokia Care centres performance, please revert to me with a solution.
We are really alarmed to see the level of cheating at Nokia Care centres.
