Hi,

I am Karthik from Chennai. I bought a Nokia N81 Mobile from an direct Nokia dealer called Rocky agencies which is located opposite to the famous Sathyam cinema in Chennai.

Before the mobile completed one year warranty period i got it serviced thrice from the Nokia service center at free of cost. I got it serviced thrice for the same problem. I got the same problem even after the warranty period expired. When i went back to the service center to ask for the rectification, they said i have to pay Rs.850/- to get it rectified. When i asked what is the problem with the mobile they said that, the mobile has got software problem because of internet usage. As the mobile has an Symbian OS, they said their are no chances for virus in the mobile.

My query is if they (Nokia) are not able to build a tough mobile which is not tough enough to withstand challenges, at least they should provide proper service as the problem should not occur in future. But either of the things didn't happen and i sold the mobile for 3000 which i bought for 15, 237 one year before. Their improper service cost me this much. Now i am happy with a Sony Ericsson mobile, which is tough enough to handle all situations.

So people please think of this in mind before going for a Nokia mobile. I feel only mobiles below price range of 2000 Rs. is worth to be bought in Nokia. Their service sucks like their product.
