I bought a Nokia 5800 XM phone (IMEI 354182023256199) on 19/Jan/09 from Vashi Central mall in Vashi Navi Mumbai... It worked fine for 10 months then all of a sudden, Bluetooth stopped working and so did Wi-Fi, also the memory card got totally currupted, rendering it useless.
I gave it for repairs at Nokia Care Center in Vashi Sec-2, on 17th Dec 09 as it was Still under warranty. I was told (after waiting for 2 hrs) that my handset will be sent to head office for repairs and will take 15 - 20 days.
on 28th Dec 09, i got a call from NCC to come and collect my handset. There i was handed over a supposedly new handset (IMEI 357988034714050) as a replacement. I had to buy a new memory card as it is apperantly not covered under warranty.
In less than a week of use of this new handset, it started giving new problems. Now everytime i unlock the handset the screen fades and flickers, rendering everything blurr and illegible.
On 7 / Jan /10, i went to same NCC and was told it'll again be sent to head office for 15 - 20 days. Upon protest the staff was extremly rude and unappologetic for her behaviour, and for not giving me a working handset.
Such is the state of affairs with Nokia and its customer support staff... horrible... I want some action taken urgently and i want a fully functional handset.
