Wrong advice and loss for the custome

I went to buy curtains at Kejal's Furnishings at Laxmi Road Pune. (The old Kejal's where they have now ready-made curtains. I provided window sizes and asked how many curtains would be required.

The shop owner (or he could also be the chief manager) strongly advised me to buy 4 curtains for a particular window of size 5ft x 4 ft. I raised my concerns as I thought 4 curtains were too many.

He said its definitely required and hence I purchased it. He was also going to send a specialist for fitting the curtain rods.

After fitting though, I realised that 4 curtains were totally unnecessary and only 2 were sufficient.

On the other hand, he had wrongly advised me to buy only 3 curtains for another large door where actually 4 were required.

So I went back to him pointing out that I need 1 curtain for the door and need to return 2 (that were not required)

Strangely, the same shop owner was very impolite, adamant and refused to take back the curtains.

He had tricked me by giving wrong advice and the refused to take back the extra curtains! He kept on showing me the note on the bill saying "No exchange, No Refund". Unfortunately on the bill it was not printed that he may misguide, give wrong advice. In fact he should have printed on the bill - "No Honesty"!
