I, Mr. Sadashiv N Padhy (Age-45) & my wife Mrs. Jyotshna S Padhy live in Vikhroli (East) in Mumbai. With reference of my sister who stays in Goregoan-Bangur Nager, visited to Live-in Style Goregoan (W) on 7/11 to purchase a dining table. We finalized a marbal dining set for Rs.47250, but it was shaking a little. We spotted the shaking, but they promised me that it will be all OK on delivery. So we gave them Rs. 20000 advance via my credit card. I was called after one week to inspect & pay remaining amount to effect delivery. But when I went there it was not installed & the salesman Anwar Khan made me sit for 2 hrs & installed it, but still it was shaking, so he promised me to give on 18th. I kept on calling several times so I went on 22/11 to find what is happening. They promised me for Saturday 27/11. So, I & my wife went at 7 pm with remaining money, but to my surprise the table was not ready & they told us that they have send to factory for repair. We wondered how can a imported dining table have a factory in India. We asked to give another dining set of our choice & we will pay the balance money & take the delivery, but they denied, we asked to refund our 20000 Rs. They refused so we decided to sit there & will not return. At 8.30 Pm, I got irritated & told my wife that people loose money by drinking, doing wrong things, we are cheated & we will think that we have lost our money by giving to these baggers. My wife was also very angry & told them that the hand which took our money, may God cut down them.
On this the owner's daughter came & started beating my wife, she fell down. I lifted her up & again she started beating, so I stopped her hand, & she started shouting "Aurat ko hat lagaya", so their salesman, Anwar khan & his manager started beating me, I fell down & started to run, they followed me & started beating me out side their show-room. I got injury to my right eye-brow which was bleeding & my rib case was swollen with their punches. We were terribaly afraid that we ran & caught a Auto-Riksa & ran to Vikhroli, where I narretated all happening to my Doctor, who took my X-ray, ECG & bandaged my eye-brow. we are so afraid that we don't have courage to go to police station & register a complaint. Please help me to recover my money. Also their shop is illegally constructed to above 40 feets height, as per BMC rule it should not be more than 16 feet.
