My brother was addmited for colon cancer operation in SL Reheja hospital mahim on 26th dec he was to be operated on 27th dec on 27th morning before the operation we were asked to give 2 pints of blood which will be required for the operation, we obliged and gave 2 pints at the hospital blood bank, to our suprise when the patient was discharged we were billed for for bood rh test /cross verification / and PC Charges total approx RS 2400/, I went to the blood bank spoke to the DR incharge for clearifiction, as there was no need for any blood for the operation so why were we charged, the explanation was yes there was no blood used for the operationwe have reserved 2 pints of blood specialy for this operation and that is the PC charges of R 2100/ and the other charges are routine 300 for type verification, so i said what about the 2 pint blood that i have given, the Dr said this can be used by the same patient and is valid for 3 months, if you need a recipt we can give one . the irony is the patient will most likely not use it in 3 months. The PC charges are wrongly taken
