I went to the Doctor (Pankaj Varshney) for my spects removal and he suggested me to get the Lasik Lazer operation done. I confirmed that i would not require to my spects afterwards and he confirmed that my spects will be removed completly after Lasik operation.
He also said that i would be able to join back my office with in 2-3 days, without any problems. He also said that he will be giving me counsaltation, even after the operation free of cost. However, after when i got my operation done there was still minor number (spects) left in my left eye and for my right eye, it was like very less improvement. So say from -4.75 the number left in my left eye was almost -.75 and in right eye -4, was still left.
I didn't realise it the the very same day but i realised it on the next day. I went to the doctor next day and told him that i am not able to see any improvment in my right eye and he said that it will all ok with the medicine otherwise. He will reoperate my right eye again. He told me to take rest for 3-4 days and come back to him.
I was in a help less situation, was unable to see from one of my eye, even couldn't do any work, couldn't see any thing due to difference in the numbers.
As earlier he said that i will be able to join my office with in 2-3 days but nothing happend, as what he pretended. I couldn't go the the office as couldn't wear spects, as the number was left in just one of the eye.
He charged INR 28, 000 for the Lasik and with all the medicines and transportation it costed me more then INR 35, 000. That too with the hassle and so much of tension in my mind. I was in dipression and in a helpless stage of being misguided by the doctor.
So had to take more leaves to get the eye lasik done again for my right eye, as there was no improvemnt with the medicine and abviously, if the medicines would have been able to remove spects then what was the use of Lasik treatments.
As there was no other options left and was traped by the doctor had to undergo another operation. As what earlier he said that he will be the one who would operate my eye and he did't it at the first time. But then as he already did the blunder at the first time, he got it done from some other doctor with out telling me or any or my family member.
He tried every possible way so that i dont realise, that he is not the one who is doing my operation but still i realised that, as i could hear the noise of bangles, so it was a lady doctor, not him.
If he wasn't confident enough to do the operation, then he should have not taken the responsibility.
If there would have been so much of hassle getting it done i would have never opted for it. Or would have counsulted some other good doctor with his own hospital and operating machines.
Even after the second operation my vision was not so clear and upon asking he said that, i have signed a letter on which its written that i might even lose my eyes completely during the operation and doctor would not be liable for the same. But i was never told by the doctors of the risks involved during counsultaion or at any given point.
He was treatening me any my family that he is not responsible for any mishappening with my eyes. It was like a torture and started speaking in a very rude way, so that we don't aks him for any thing.
It was almost 3 months and then i started feeling improvement in right eye, but my left eye was still not ok. Upon aksing he said that i my visioin can never be 6/6, however he never said this before operation. I wsa expecting a 6/6 vision. As what anyone would expect after spending so much of money and time.
With a hope of getting the right treatment i did whatever he advised me but got much less then what i have paid for that too with so much of inconvenice and torture. After countinous visit for almost four months the results were not as expected and the inconvenice was much more then i deserve.
And then he told me to come after a month if required, otherwise he said it is all ok now, so there is no need to come.
I was countinously taking medicines and eye drops, (as advised by the doctor) and then i realised that there is still not improvement in my left eye. And my vision is not 6/6 for any of my eye.
So, i went to the doctor tomorrow, as he said earlier that come whenever you think there is some problems. He again gave me prescription and told me to take medicine but no satisfactory advise was given. Also, he told me to come after a month. Then asked me for his fee, but as what said by him before operation, that he will be giving me post operation counsaltation "Free of Cost", so now he should ideally not be asking for any fee. He reacted very rude to it.
I am lauching this complaint againt him as i feel that there was no justification given to me and my hard earned money.
