I visited the Cosmopolitan Hospital to do a test of Video Endoscopy. The test can be done only on Tuesday and Thursday. I was asked by the ENT of that hospital to do that test so that I will not have any irritation while finding out what is wrong with my throat. I had to wait for nearly half an hour to get my file to visit the ENT. After a long wait at the ENT queue, the doctor gave me a slip to pay for the test. After the payment, I went with the bill to take the test. I waited for an hour, but the doctor Dr. Paul (DNB, ENT) did not come back from the cafeteria. After repeated requests with the staff there that I had to return back to office, the staff just argued that he does not take such long breaks. The doctor came back after 1and half hour with a very angry and rude face. He called up the first patient, a little girl who came to remove the stitches. Next was my turn. Instead of calling me, he called the patients who were after us the queue. He made us wait more longer. When we requested the nurse, he called us in and behaved very rudely with us. He shouted at me to sit on the bed and kept repeated telling us that if we did not co-operate the test could not be done. Instead of applying the spray that makes the tongue and throat numb, he directly tried to insert the tube in my throat. When he started to do that, I resisted and asked him what he was doing. He shouted at us saying, this tube has to be put into the throat. He asked the nurse to pull out my throat and I was pronounce the letter "E". I could not pronounce with my tongue pulled out. He shouted at me again to pronounce the letter. I started to vomit, but he shouted at me and put the tube again. When I was about to vomit again, he said there is no problem in my throat and gave us the report. This is real harassment he has one to us. Is this the way patients are to be treated. They take the money and arrogantly demand that we do the test or get out. Doctor's practice is a service, these blood suckers take our money, insult us, harass us and then give us a report for namesake. Proper action should be taken against this doctor.
After the test, I still feel the pain at the back of my tongue near my throat. The authorities of the hospital do not pay any attention to what we say.
The doctor who did this test, immediately called the ENT specialist whom I went to consult, the moment I went to his room. He made the ENT specialist go to the lab and the ENT specialist returned only after half an hour.
Please do not do any test at the ENT doctor in COSMO. This is my humble advice
