Respected Sir / Madam

My name is T. Rajagopal – AN: 62371766 in Subscriber’s Request Slip. I have taken a new connection with BSNL under the Plan HOME COMBO ULD900.. I kindly request you to go through the following and clarify my queries on the recent Bill I have received.

• I have opted for Annual Payment option which works out to Rs. 9000/-

• I have paid Rs 500 as Deposit with BSNL. In the bill, I see that this has been adjusted against the Misc. Charges. This is actually the Deposit which one should get back while surrendering the connection. Please confirm my understanding.

• There is an amount of Rs. 29.03 as Fixed Monthly Charges. How has this been arrived at? As per the Plan which is attached for your reference, TELEPHONE FIXED MONTHLY CHARGE is NIL.

• While there are 400 free calls as per this plan, it is mentioned that the call charge is Rs. 39 for the period 27/July to 31/07.

When I approached the BSNL customer center in person, they were not able to explain this properly, but one of them even passed a sarcastic comment that they should have sent a bill for much higher value. When there are too many private telephones in the market, people still believe going for BSNL for its credibility and customer service. I only hope one of you will read this and send me a proper response explaining the mode of Billing.
