I am an unfortunate customer of the Tata indicom Postpaid account. I took the connection in the mid of May and in less than one month I lost connection several times. I took the connection for my official purpose and needs to be online for 24 * 7 once in a month. Since the internet was not available in some of the weeks ends and week days, I need to spend those hours in my office itself unnecessarily. Whenever I called up the customer care, it says that the wait time is less than 15 mins and I need to hold the line for at least 15 to 20 mins to get my technical query addressed.
After raising the complaint, the response time was very bad which might exceed unto 2 days. If it is Sunday, it will extend unto 3 days. I already talk to the following persons in the Chennai VSNL office (Ranganathan and Karl Marx) and they assured me that my problem be resolved permanently. Even after giving the assurance, I lost connection almost 3 times.
I took a post paid connection worth Rs 3000 which is valid for 4 months. When I requested regarding the reimbursement, they said only Rs 500 will be returned and the rest will be considered as the Installation charge.
Also when I checked the reason for the down time, they are giving me simple reasons like "Server at Mumbai is down", "Link between chennai server and Mumbai server Failed" etc.
PS: This is not only situation, four of my colleagues are facing the same problem and we have no other option other than taking a parallel Airtel connection in order to be in the network.
Is this the reputation of TATA?
