Here is my experience with Tata Indicom who claims that they are very good at their services. I have taken a Tata Indicom prepaid broadband connection in Bangalore, Jayanagar II block Ashoka Pillar Road, India 2 months back (in Aug'2007).
During that time we asked the marketing representative that If we shift from here will your company will activate our service at new location. Representative told they are number one in broadband connection and across all bangalore location they have the network.
Then I shifted my residence from Jayangar II block to Ist block which is 500 meters away from my old residence. I have raised a shifting request but they told they do not provide service in that area so it is not feasible to provide the connection.
Then I have asked them to refund my unutilized money as you do not provide service in the current area. In turn I am getting reply that it's a prepaid account so Tata Indicom can't refund the amount to me so better I need to use their services. I do not understand if they do not provide service how can I utilize the amount and secondly this will expire after 60 days. Tata Indicom makes their customer fool in the first place. While the marketing representative comes he will give some picture and then after taking the connection you will get something else.
Anyway Good luck to Tata Indicom for their sincere customer service.
I hope they should learn swim before the ship sinks.
