This is to inform you that I surrendered Telephone No.033-2638-2694 after my retirement while shifting from Railway Bunglow from 62/1, Cambridge Terrace, 1st Floor, Railway Colony, Church Road, Howrah-711101.
The telephone was surrendered on 22.7.2010. Inspite of surrender of the above Broadband connection, every month, telephone bill of Rs. 977 is being sent at my old address continuously. Inspite of telling it to the line man, Commercial Officer, Howrah nothing has improved and has put me in an embarrassing position.
AGM (PR & Commercial)/Calcutta Telephones was informed aboutg this through e-mail on 24/11.
Consequently, a bill for 0.00 amount has been sent vide Bill Number 73693359 dated 09/12; but sorry to inform you that a previous balance of Rs. 15, 598.00 has been shown outstanding. This amount cannot be shown as balance as the telephone has already been surrendered on 22/07.
Again it is seen that a bill of the same amount has been sent for the month of November. Moreover, another bill showing 0.00 amount with arrear amount iof Rs. 165.00 has been sent in January fir abitger tekeogibe no.03326382824 which is totally false as both the telephone sets have already been surrendered. Please arrange to wave out this amount as a telephone bill cannot be raised for the period when the telephone was surrendered and not used.
As the Broad Band connection/Telephones have already been surrendered, you are requested to kindly take necessary action so that the Telephone Bills are not sent to my old address which is a Government Quarters and no outstanding dues is shown against the above telephones.
