Airtel broadband 499 plan

I took airtel broadband connection with internet plan of rs. 499 which gives unlimited internet service.but after certain downloadings its speed automatically reduces till the next billing cycle.why is it so? the person who installed it didnt tell any such conditions on speed.i am planning to sue them.
