This is regarding pathetic refund process in Airtel Broadband division.
I had requested for Airtel broadband connection in first week of Sept. An agent visited same day to complete all the formalities and collect a cheque of 800 Rs. I was pretty surprised with their speed to collect money for new connection and even asked if he checked for connection availability. He told everything is fine and connection will be given within 7 days. I had to wait 7 weeks without any information and on probing got to know that due to technical problems it could not be given immediately. On asking for refund with call center department, I was given a complaint number and told that cheque will be dispatched in 10 days. Nothing happened and this was followed by series of phone calls from my end for 3 months with nobody having a clue of solution. I even sent an email to airtel, visited their customer center on Bng Road, but no solution.
There is an absolute disconnect with what airtel customer support tell and what really happens in backend. The organzation seems to be in total disarray.
Hoping this forum helps in conveying the issue to right people or atleast as warning to others...
