This is Ajay using Airtel broad band connection. I have chosen an option pay advanced rental when I took the connection. After my completing 6 months, I have received a call from Airtel on 23rd July by asking to continue the 6 months advance rental. I have asked for the benefits, which I will receive by continuing the scheme, they have communicated you will receive a speed of 512 MB. I have told them please continue my advance rental scheme for the next 6 months. In order to do that, you need to pay the amount in advance.
So, I have paid the amount in advance on July 30th and called the customer care to update this. They have requested me to send a mail to Airtel. So I have sent a mail to get this plan updated from August billing cycle. Then I have received a confirmation mail from Bhaskar, who is a Customer Care Executive for Airtel. Your plan is been activated.
Then in the month of September, I have a received a bill for the amount of 1767 rupees. I have called the customer care for the reason, they have communicated the plan is activated from September billing cycle.
Then, I have mailed the customer care saying I have requested for the plan to be active from August not from September billing cycle.
From then onwards, they give me a silly reason saying.
We have called you many times, but there was no response from you. But, I haven’t any received any call during the period they mention.
Also, they mention we need a voice confirmation before activating the plan. I haven’t confirmed by voice, but still they have activated the plan.
Also, they are mention the plan will never be activated in the mid of cycle. As per the call, I have received the plan should be activated on July 23rd 2010. So it must be on the billing cycle from August billing cycle. They are just considering the request, which I have placed on the July 30th.
The concern person replied, purposefully set the plan will be effective from August 26th instead of July 26th. Also, he never communicated the same to me in the mail.
I really got frustrated with things were happening from last month. I wasted lot time and money for making calls. Sending mails almost every day but no use everybody says we will look into it.
Also, i have received a call from customer care on the speed of internet connection. They have communicated, by saying the your speed will be 512 MB for the first 10GB download, after that it will be 256 MB. Even in this, they have communicated wrongly. Fooling the customer, by previding false information.
Please help me regarding this. I want to go to consumer court and file a cheating case on Airtel
