Not terminating my Airtell landline connection by their Liar staff in retention dept

Sub: My landline connection not getting terminated after numerous complaints

Dear sir

I was using an Airtell connection landline no 080-40960303

On 23th april last month I had cleared all my dues and requestion a termination of this line. (complaint no: 14733548) But even till today my connection is not terminated.

On 21rst may when I called up, (complaint no: 16047112) they say that they have spoken to me and retained me. Hell what the crap, they called me 4 times and every time I told them to terminate the account, but they wrongfully forcefully retained me. Looks like your retention department is filled with liars. I never expected like this from such a reputed company like Airtell.

By retaining me forcefully and billing me, do you think ever again I will want to do something with Airtell.

I called again on 24th may (complaint no: 16205692) as they told me it will get disconnected by then, but again they say that the backend has retained me. I told them to cancel again; they said it will be done by 26th may.

Somebody called me up and told me that they are terminating the line, and this time its for sure. Still connection not terminated.

Again I called up today 30th may (Complaint no: 16480840) this time escalated the call to the floor manager; spoke to a lady called Sindhu, now she has promised me that within 24 hrs it will be terminated.

I hope this time you guys terminate this account, and revise my bill, As I am liable to pay only till the 30th of April, as I have requested the cancellation on 23rd April.

Please do this immediately; you guys are not doing any good by retaining me forcefully.

Also I would like to take action on all those agents from the retention department who have mentioned lies on the records and retained this connection.

This message here is to make sure that everybody online knows about this and the tactics Airtel uses to retain guys when they ask for a termination. You need to keep following up as if you have no other job.

I expect a reply at the earliest and this landine no (080-40960303) terminated.

update: was told that it will be disconnected by today 4:30 pm, but the line is still active. dunno what tactics are these guys upto..
