We recently had Airtel braodband installed in our office. We find that we can not send emails (while we can receive emails) while using airtel broadband. At the same time, there is no such problem while using MTNL broadwand or Reliance. This problem pertains to email in the format """[email protected]"""
Finally when Airtel engineer came to check the problem, he told me that I have to subscribe to a 'Value Added Service" (Sic!!!) called 'Airtel relay' by paying Rs. 49/email id!!! plus taxes.
This is ridiculous. If the basic purpose of sending and receiving emails can not be completed using an Internet connection.
