Well, i bought Prepaid Airtel GPRS/EDGE USB Modem 12 months ago, it is Micromax branded huwei set and locked to Airtel network. for 2999 INR and 498 INR/ Month UL... from a local reseller (R.K.Telecom - Jamui)
when i bought this crap, every thing went ok, download speed was pretty good and letency was ok as = 3000ms and RTO (request timed out) all the time. (dns i use to ping - 202.56.231.117, 8.8.8.8 etc)
i was not able to open even google.com or anything with netload 0% constantly.
i called 121, hell they refused to forward complain, called 7070 and they told me that there is no plan like 498rs/month, they even refused tht airtel providing prepaid modems.
but somehow i managed to get infos about nodal office (bihar). i got there number/name/mail address as below from 7070 customer care.

i called there, mailed there, after i think 15days they responded back with pathetic english...
they told me, "ur request has been taken and blah-blah."
well, i think they repaired it next month of september... every thing went smooth for 1-2 month then problem arise back... and after complaining till now, i realised they cant even speak english well. and i think they cant resolve the problem cuz either they lack skilled technician or there nodal is full of dumb people...
oh yeah, i also complained there appallete authorities, and i got only automated response...
such a crap internet service, it sometime is normal like now or down all the day forever,
illetrate customer care executive, unresponsive nodal officer, waste of appallete authority, lack of technical faculties - situation of the no.1 mobile service provider in india, think of other lol.
