I would like to say with grief that airtel broadband who I believed to be best at its service is actually treats you the worst when you have to terminate your connection. I moved from my previous address on 24th of march and had opened a request way before moving so that they disconnected my connection on time. After I moved i got a call from airtel saying that my bill is pending. I agreed and paid my bill till 31 of march (7 days extra from my move date) without any hassles. Now again after almost a month I got a call from airtel saying that my bill is pending. I disagreed and said I moved after informing you. They said that I had called them again and opened a new request to activate my account, which I never did and asked them to close the request, open a new request for cancellation and freeze the bill right away. They did that for the time being but then again after some days I got a call from airtel saying that II have opened a request for activation and my bill is still pending.
They open requests on their own to charge moved customers for not even using the service which customer never calls for. I have had serious arguments with customer service regarding this but nothing seems to be working and they keep calling me for bill. It is really irritating that in the middle of my busy schedule I get a call from airtel asking me to pay the bill for the service I never used. Is this how airtel treats you after you have treated airtel with honesty for so long paying their bills on time. This kind of treatment really makes the service industry loose their customers and airtel certainly has lost me from using any kind of service provided by the.
Tuesday june22, airtel legal department called us for paying the bill. I talked to them and then since my dad was upset about this he talked to them. This guy was really rude and really pathetic that he did not even care that he is talking to my dad and continued talking in a stupid manner. This makes me say that "I NEED MY SECURITY OF 500 RS BACK AND I NEED LAST 2 MONTHS BILL PAID BACK TO ME AS A COMPENSATION FOR THIS HARASSMENT THAT WE WENT THROUGH ALL THESE DAYS"
I would appeal to the consumer forum to take the proper action against this and ask airtel to close my account and stop calling me for bills at the least.
