I am having Airtel Internet Broadband Connection Account Number 15718895
(without landline). As I was getting transferred from Gurgaon to Pune, I
requested Customer Care (Request # 363798) to transfer the connection to Pune on
July 24. I was told that I would be contacted in next 24 hours to update
the feasibility if the connection can be transferred to Pune on my new
address. Later, I contacted Customer Care multiple times but no response was
provided to me except that I would be contacted in next 24 hours. At last I got
frustrated and on July 31, I asked one of my friend to visit Airtel outlet to
confirm the feasibility of connection transfer in Wadgaon (Pune). In just 5
minutes of time he confirmed me that it is not possible to transfer. I am not
sure what is taking so long for customer care to find out this information. I
did not expect this kind of bad coordination between Gurgaon and Pune Airtel
team! Also, always I received the same response every time that I would be
contacted in next 24 hours for sure but that 'SURE' never come up.
Anyways, by this frustrating service I updated customer care to cancel my
connection on August 2. Till now I have not received any call though I
have already contacted Customer care multiple times. I have even escalated this
request twice and talked with the seniors of Customer care executive. They told
me since the cancellation request is handled by other team so they would be
coordinating with them and update me ASAP but the result of coordination is yet
to come. Surprisingly, when I contacted them today still the request is on same
stage where it was on Jul 24. Also, when I interacted with one of the senior of
customer care executive, he told me that I would not be charged of any rental
after Jul 24 since I have made the request of connection transfer. However,
when I inquired of my bill today, I was shocked to see that my rentals are
still being deducted. I am really shocked to understand why the charges are
being deducted against my account even the confirmation was given to me by one
of the Senior of Customer Care Executive. Also, the request has been logged
long back and not a single call received on this request till now from Airtel.
I even tried to contact Nodal officer (Reference #2308201016707) but no one is picking the phone and noone has provided the response on this yet. Even today I got SMS of paying the bill of 2685/-. Don’t know why I am being charged of the subsequent months even I raised the request of cancellation on Jul 24 (one month before!!!). I am not sure why should I pay the bill after Jul 24 even though I have not used the connection and raised the request with Customer care. If they didnot respond to that then why I am being cgharged for.
Now I have only one option to come to you. Please help me!!!
